Success tips: goals, state of mind, goals, right tool and environment

Have a goal and be in the right state of mind, have the right tools and be in the environment that optimise you to get to your goal.

First, make sure you are in condition to be successful, this means having a good diet, exercises (for positive mindset) positive body posture (which has psychological impact on the mindset).

Rewire your negative mindset into a positive mindset. Such as changing "I can't" to "I can", from "I'm lazy" to "I'm keen", "I'm scare of failing" to "I know what doesn't work and I'm closer to my success", "I'm a loser" to "my past failure doesn't define me, there's more chapters ahead where I will become successful",  etc...

It also involves being in a mental state to make good decision, this involves having a clear, calm objective and intuitive.  

Everyone needs a clear and distinctive goal that you can mentally comprehend if you want to achieve it. If it is vague and difficult to comprehend, you won't have a clear direction of where you are heading and weren't get there. The key is to handle one thing at the time so you can really invest your mind to getting it. The mind needs long hours of rewiring and developing new synaptic growth.

You need to be in the right state of mind to achieve your goal. This means both belief system and the right state of mind to carry out the task.

The belief system means you need to be confident and believe you can achieve it otherwise it'll hold you back. Fear, irrational worries and hesitation will only hold your progress back.
You also need to be in the right state of mind to perform the task you are required to do to get you to that place. For instance if you may need to be logical, focused, emotional detached and cautious to trade stock or you you may need to be creative, imaginative, inspired and be in tapped with certain emotions to create an art work.

You need the right tools to get the work done. Not just the tools for the main jobs, but the right tools to overcome problems and obstacles you face whilst reaching you goals. You require a think tank system to diagnose problems and find solutions through out the process until you reach your goals. This requires great decision making (collective and objective input which I will discuss more later).
You also need to be in the right environment for work. The secret is to spend more time at you work station. If you just show up and put yourself there, you only have the option of doing your work. That's no brainer. But the work space should really be there to optimise your work performance. Consider the small details such as the optimum temperature, noise and lightings (i.e. yellow lights are likely to make you sleepy than white lights).

This means make sure there's no distractions such as having TV or having your phone with social media and other distracting apps to distract you. Schedule your time to reply to emails and messages outside working hours.

Other tips:
  • Don't aim for good, aim for great
  • Don't study just to learn, study to know
  • It's not only talent, it's obsession!
  • Study one thing deep. Dedicate a long period of time to only mastery that one thing at a time with undivided attention, such as a 3 months intensive course. But have time for background reading before to familiarise yourself with it. Within that time, you'll really train your mind and mental synapses.

Advantage of planning on paper. Boarder mental flexibility

Important to use a pen when making a plan. It'll help your free relocate your plan so that you can subconsciously exercise the sense of priorities, category, side notes and time line with a special diagrammatic feel. These elements are what makes a plan effective. To list, to analysis, to categorise, to prioritise and to plan the time line.

Here is a few reasons why we include some of these strategies:
• Setting Time: Organising time line put pressure on us to get it done. Sense of time and urgency are powerful motivational tools to get the work done.
• Consider including trial time: This helps with reducing mental pressure as you feel you aren't trapped in one project or option.
• Simplifying, eliminating & allocating future task: If you can push some task or options into the future, that would help a lot reducing your current load on your plate. This in turn will really help putting you in better mental state, as your mind won't be cluttered, confused, overwhelmed or frozen when dealing with huge amount of thoughts and information. Remember that human mind is not a robot and only has a certain limit to which they can handle information and to make effective decision. Try to keep it simple to the best you can without losing any essential information required.
• Label the options and categories it. It is important to label the options which includes the features, rational and it's urgencie. This will help you manage the data from different perspectives such as what is top priority, what is important to you, what is most urgent etc...
• Just putting ideas into list itself helps get it out of your mind!

It is very difficult to do this with just typing on the phone or laptop which only has a 2D feel and lack of mental flexibility. However, it still has its own merits, which is to allows one to archive or express thoughts conveniently at any times. Also, you can edit your thoughts so there's a sense of flexibility of expression your flow of thoughts.

How to over come the sense of being a victim

It is true that some of us are victims of being abused before by others in one way or another. But it doesn't have to define who we are or continue being an emotional baggage for us. Here are some tips to over come this:

1. Understand that the past don't to define us.

2. Understand that what happened to us including bad past experience or success is not only due to us, it is in fact a huge complex change of causes and conditions. Don't just solely blame or praise yourself.

3. You can't control circumstances and events that happens to you but you can change how you approach and handle it.

4. Sometimes in life, it doesn't matter about how great or miserable your life is, but what count is how you handle it.

5. Upon misfortune, you can lie down and feel defeated or you can use this opportunity to grow, to become wiser to learn from any mistakes and practice the art of patience and letting go. It can make you or break you. It can make you bitter or make you better. It is completely how you want to approach it. That is the difference between those who succeed and those who fails.

6. Time is a healer. Nothing is impermanence. As the storm pass, so will this pain and misery.

7. You are not your emotions. A lot of people are

8. Learn not to cling or be attached, especially to your bad experience. When you can deutsch and slowly let go of these negative emotions and thoughts.

9. You can find yourself when you find your inner heart, which arises when their the waves turn into quiet spring and the dust of afflictions is wiped clear.

10. Gratitude is so important. You must be grateful with what you got, otherwise you will fall endlessly in the bottomless pitch of the sense of lacking, greed or fear. Just look at all the good things you have and count your blessings. If you always look down you will miss out all the beautiful stars and wonder of life.

• Listing things that you may feel causes you anxiety and worries, it could be an accumulation of little things or just not being aware of the list it self could stimulate uncertain which may cause anxiety.
• Having a simpler life can help with anxiety. Anxiety can be caused by having a sense of being overwhelmed and having a sense of lack of control. If you simplify your like such as making your living space more clutter free, it can help with reducing the sense of being overwhelmed by the things you have and gives the sense that you are aware and in control of what you have. Having less means being more able to manage your possession and life, thereby feeling more in controlled and empowered.

Be better not bitter when we face adversity

Sometimes it's unfortunately that we are in situations where people hurt, abuse or use us. It's natural for us to feel bitter and resentful, and close ourselves. However, it takes wisdom, insight and courage to realised that we don't have to react negatively but we have a choice to respond wisely and appropriately. We don't have to be bitter but we can be better by learning to forgive, to be patient, to let it go, to still learn to be respectful and kind yet keep be wiser and keep our distance for toxic people. We are bigger and better than that and we should understand that they are lost, confused and afflicted in darkness which is why they are the way they are. Instead of hating, learn to be wiser to not get involved and also be empathetic and compassionate to them and wish them well. That is the way we can grow inside.

When we no longer are attached to negative forces that negatively influences, manipulate and make us react a certain way, it gives us the mental powers to not be sway by them and gives us options to make better decisions in life. We won't be influence by our own emotions of greed, anger, ego etc...

When we have compassion, we understand others better, become wiser, less selfish, less self centred and our mind expands beyond our limited self. Our sense of responsibility for the duty of others is what gives us the power to over come obstacles to help them. There won't be selfish fear that holds you back. Just like the courage and power of a parent protecting their kids or a lion spirit of a true leader to protect who protects his fellow men.

Having knowledge is not enough, it's how well you apply them

Having knowledge is not enough, it is how well you apply them.

It's not only how much you know but how well you use it and how well you prioritise things. What knowledge to focus on, what to put aside, when to use it, when to let it go. For too much knowledge can scatter us and make us lose focus, unimportant knowledge will dilute the impact or effectiveness, insufficient knowledge will cause misunderstanding, the wrong knowledge can be dangerous etc...

Realities: personal, conceptual and awaken consciousness

Conscious awareness should see what it is. Our direct experience of the present moment.

The problem is when people are lost and trap in their own concepts and ideologies.

This could be conceptual ideas from science, economics, history, politics, gender role or social construct. It even includes manipulated/altered thoughts of the past or imagining the future.

As a result, it obscures our own direct experience of reality of the present moment, and we live in a conceptual world further from the truer reality.

It is a trap to see reality in the form of limited concept and ideas.

Concepts should be regarded as reference point that we should not dwell on.

I guess there are personal reality, false conceptualised reality and the awaken conscious reality in which a sage would experience.
