The "I know it" syndrome

The "I know it" syndrome is when you try to fulfil your ego or protect you insecurities with the attitude of knowing it, well, at least knowing it conceptually.

Knowing that you know it is fine, but to gratify yourself in that emotional satisfying pride or self empowering feeling can actually be a problem. Once that happen, you instantly don't want to listen no more, don't want to learn no more and you're creating a wall or barrier in the expense of your humility, sincerity and patience.

Even if you do know it, it is good practice to listen to it wholeheartedly, humbly and with gratitude, as it shows a sign of good character and virtue. The knowledge or wisdom expounded by others should be respected and valued. Even if you know it in your mind, do you really practice and live it? That's also another question.
