Spiritual cultivation is bitter sweet

The process of cultivation is bitter the sense the process of breaking ego is difficult.

It is sweet because afterward the bitter process, you'd feel peaceful, humbled, sincerity and connected to your inner self.

If you can't find your dreams, just keep doing what you like until you find it

If you can't find your dreams, just keep doing what you like until you find it (as long as it's not harmful to yourself and others). In time, you'll move closer to your dreams and may find what you want.

Perhaps your time to realised your dream is not now. For now, just do what you light, as long as it's harmless.

Bitterness can be a vicious cycle, that can be broken with patience, selflessness, wisdom and kindness

It's a vicious circle for some who stays bitter. They get harmed, hurt or abused, so they put up a bitter defensive mode. The get trap with the tired stress of battlefield mode, and don't rest, heal and recover nor earn to be kind and peaceful.

It takes strength and wisdom to be a bigger person, someone who is patient with bitter treatment from others; someone who is humble enough to walk away, let go and move on towards a positive path; someone who is wise enough to know other bitter people are a victim of their own afflictions and it takes kindness to feel sorry for those lost afflicted souls.

A rich man's syndrome: not wanting to face the harsh reality

Having wealth is great if you can use it to share with others and do good with it.

But having wealth can be problematic for others, there's always a catch to everything.

One of the problem of being rich is how it can easily make you lose touch of reality and the hardship of reality. If we let wealth get to us, it can make us spoilt and lose sense of reality. What we want we think we can get. But the truth is that wealth won't save you from relationship break ups, depression, addictions, aging, illness and ultimately death.

The true wealth is the inner peace you get from finding yourself and working on your inner growth. To see reality clear and to connect to your inner nature is the real deal. The rest isn't as important.

Note that we all need money to survive but it's what is important is not letting money control ourselves.

It's OK to dream but don't forget to work for it

4277129731_59aed13514_bIt's OK to dream or be inspired, but don't forget to work towards your dreams.

A lot of people can be too focused on the desired results or outcome that they do not put enough focus on the process of working towards it. If you can focus on the process of getting there, you will eventually get there anyways,

This is not to say not to dream. Because dreams and wish are what is need to ignite our spirit to continue going on. But dream is something like a notice board or a poster, where you watch and be inspired at that moment. However, you don't stand and stare at that poster all day.

Conquer Anxiety

Anxiety is tricky to understand because it's a mixed emotion of stress, worries and subtle fear that is built over a long time that sometimes we may not be aware of. There are different types, different severity and triggers and thereby we would have to look case individually and find personalise method of support and treatment.

In terms of thought processes, here is some way of thinking that may cause anxiety:

  • Worrying about the future

  • Being afraid of not knowing (about the future or general expectation in life)

  • Being afraid of not having a plan

  • Feeling insecure when we not being under control of our circumstance

  • Feeling that things must go my way

  • Fear of failing

  • Being a perfectionist and having unrealistic expectations

  • The all or nothing mentality. Feeling you have to have or achieve certain things otherwise you have nothing or it's a waste of life

  • Traumatized by past events such as failures or abuse

  • Not knowing when to let go and move on if things are counter productive or a waste of time

Having these way of thinking will make you more likely to experience anxiety. If we can change these way of thinking into something more positive and insightful, it would really help you manage your anxiety:

  • No point of worrying about the future. If worrying is counter product then don't worry about it. If you are worried then do what you can to make a positive future.

  • Have faith and trust in yourself that things will be fine, that you can face whatever challenges comes to you and so you don't have to worry too much for now. Life doesn't equip us with all the tools, so we have to use what we can at that time.  And even if we fall, that's fine, we just stand back up again.

  • Perhaps our bad past experience happens for a reason. The important thing is to experience and learn from it. Those who experience more pain and recover from it have grown up a lot. These battle scars are proof of your strength and how you survived and live on to tell your story. You painful past shows how strong, amazing and wiser you are.

  • Learn that we can't control external things all the time. What we must focus on is controlling ourselves and our mind. If you can be a master of your mind, if doesn't what the circumstance is, you will be fine.

  • Accept that life doesn't always go your way and the way you expect. Accepting doesn't mean you agree with the outcome, it just means you see the situation as it is for now. Of course ,things can always changes in the future too. Seeing the way things gives us clearer vision.

  • Failing is fine. Our circumstances shouldn't define who we are. As long as you stand up and continue to walk and try yourself that's all that matters. Look at all the other achievement you've achieved and not just your failures. Count your blessings in health and the fact that you have your family around.

  • Don't be a perfectionist. Perfection is only what we may aim for, but be aware that life is imperfect itself and as long as it meets a satisfactory standard that can be more than enough. Give credit for when it is due. Be proud of what you have accomplished if it meets a realistic expectation. And don't forget, perhaps being happy and peaceful inside is more important than have a perfect external condition.

  • For those who hurt you in the past, know that it's only the lost and confuse soul that hurt others. Know that you are on your way or are already grown up inside that you can now look at them like a mature person and see that they are the one who is really lost and perhaps they need more help than you. It may be painful at that time, but now you can look at that as an experience that made you better and not bitter. You can only have sympathy for childish lost soul. Compassionate heart and thinking of others well being is what will heal your heart and pain.

  • Learn to not be greedy, hasty or impatient. Learn to take things more slowly and easily. The mind that is calmer, slower and more relax are not likely to be agitated and anxious.

  • Just learn to let go. Let go of the fear, the wanting to control externally, stubbornness of how things have to be, how things have to be perfect, the past fear, past shame and bitter... From now on, you are free and you can start a new leaf and be a wiser and mature person

Those who is obsessed with winning will hurt others

Those who thirst or is obsessed with winning in this worldly life, will risk hurting or putting others down. The tendency to only win and disregard others will rub them the rub way. When winning, win modestly without being arrogant or shoe off about it. The true winners in life are those who master their own mind and ego. Win with grace

Simple way to make money: invest in your skill sets

Lately I've seen those get rich quick scheme, but strangely enough, hardly much people are getting rich or making any money from it, in fact most probably lost the chance of make money whilst they could be working.

After enough thought, if you want to be rich, it is simple... You have to invest time to build on skills that people would like to hire you. Investing in yourself is the best way to make more cash in the future. However, you'll have to work hard now within your budget first.

So here's the trick:
1) Maybe find a part time job if you don't have enough money
2) Improve skills or get qualification. For instance, Study IT coding, Study accounting/pharmacy/medicine/design, just find a job you like and invest time in getting qualified in that field.
3) After x amount if time, start working or make your own business up with those skills.
4) Hire or get advice from experts to promote you business

It's simple as that!

What is sad is seeing people wasting there valuable time on things that probably won't bring them money like making websites they aren't passionate about hoping they'll get rich.... It's nice to dream or experience but after a few years later, you'd probably regret not spending your time wisely.

The "I know it" syndrome

The "I know it" syndrome is when you try to fulfil your ego or protect you insecurities with the attitude of knowing it, well, at least knowing it conceptually.

Knowing that you know it is fine, but to gratify yourself in that emotional satisfying pride or self empowering feeling can actually be a problem. Once that happen, you instantly don't want to listen no more, don't want to learn no more and you're creating a wall or barrier in the expense of your humility, sincerity and patience.

Even if you do know it, it is good practice to listen to it wholeheartedly, humbly and with gratitude, as it shows a sign of good character and virtue. The knowledge or wisdom expounded by others should be respected and valued. Even if you know it in your mind, do you really practice and live it? That's also another question.

Work ethics is key to happiness

Man feels better if he punch the bag harder or work harder.

Work ethics makes a man feel better and proud.

It's OK to make a mistake, but avoid the ones you can't recover from

It's OK to make a mistake, but avoid the ones you can't recover from.

Again, a good tip for life and investment ;)

No decision is better than bad decision

"No decision is better than bad decision"

This is a good advice when it comes to life and investment!

Take on one project/task at a time to be successful

Trying to take on many projects and task at the same time is going to make you counterproductive and more importantly mentally scattered as well as giving a brain freeze. Then it'll make you feel like you're stuck in a limbo state, not going anywhere, not progressing,  moving on, not achieving amd perhaps not feeling alive... Gradually it might cause you to feel anxious, restless without knowing why and a sense of numbness.

That is why, my friend, make sure you tackle one thing at a time and do it properly. Make a list of things you need to do, attend to what is important first, set a time frame of how long you will spend on a project and know how far you want to achieve within that time...

Within a good game plan, things can become a losing battle. Wasting your time, effort, energy and spirit.

Take each step at a time and one task at a time in a smart tactic

Your past dreams doesn't mean it's your current dreams

Sadly, dreams may not always be fixed. A childhood dream may not be what you want now. Just as things changes in time, so may our dreams. That being said, just do what you like and want towards your new dreams.

Familiar places feels like home

Being away from a familiar place for a while makes it feel more like a home
