Harsh blunt truth VS gentle wise truth

Sometimes, even though people think it is a good thing to be honest, truth said unwisely at the wrong time or the wrong way can cause a lot of problems and make the situation worse. Although there may be some credit for honesty, the important question is whether it is benevolent or not?

The wise one are mindful of words spoken and the consequence it has, knowing that words can harm or benefit others, even kill or heal. What does it mean to be mindful of words? Perhaps how one speak? The tone of voice? The context? Is it in a rude manner? Is it disrespectful that invoke anger to others? Is it spoken in a peaceful, gentle and respectful manner that brings peace, tranquility and benefits? Wise one utter words that brings benefits and not invoke craving, anger, hatred, delusion, arrogance etc...

There are also some people who use the factual truth or some wise knowledge in order to feel self righteous, greed for powerful and dominating, as a form to fulfill their egos and arrogance. Ironically, wise one walk the path of purity, to remove the self righteous, greed for power, dominating and egotistic attributes.

However, there are time to be honest and blunt if there are positive benefits, but from a pure heart and which is carefully assessed.

Also, there are some who may argue that it is the content that matters and not how it is spoken, so they are not concern with the harsh and rude manner in which they speak. However, the wise one knows the emotional and psychological implication of body language and tone of voice (as it counts 93% of communication), so they are careful with their speak in a generally a thoughtful and gentle manner. Besides, the wise one knows that the mind is likely to learn when it is calm and at peaceful instead of emotionally unstable with angry, anxiety etc... therefore they speak both the content of truth at the same time a calm wholesome energy that brings emotional, psychological and spirtual benefits.
