Is it worth proving a point?

Sometimes I like to feel that I am strong by proving that I can face hardship and challenges, I suppose it also partly feed my ego. But then again, there are limits, and I realised it is important to know the consequences of proving a point, because what you challenge may do more harm/problems in the long run than benefits. A sign of reckless self destructive behaviour. Just like how proving a stupid point with abusive or physical abuse can risk your life. or do a last minute revision in exams to prove you are smart may risk getting low grades and ruining your whole life career.

What you try to prove should be assessed, is it worth the risk of ruining your life or health? It is important to say no and not let ego and pride take over, one must swallow pride to make the best decision. Assess the cause of your challenge and if it is pointless, than use that energy to do other important and meaningful things in your life. That is a part of growing up.

But of course if there is something worth challenging through careful decision, then go for it.

  1. for some people they do that not for proving a point....

they do because they care. Although, they have been studying hard but they are just not strong enough to believe themselves they can. Well, we are only human beings and will never be perfect, since the perfect point is kind of boring. Human do emotionally affected, no matters how tough is it they look outside. As always, somewhere in their mind do show a blind, an imperfect point. So last minute panic attack is allowed :P ...Learn from the mistakes is also part of growing up:)

The way how the society going is not allow us to be too natural...
