Too much freedom is dangerous

We are living in modern times, when freedom is regarded as a demand for everyone. Freedom and human rights. I more or less support democracy.

However, if freedom is used excessively without responsibility and controlled discipline, it becomes problematic. Many people who have not learn responsibility yet demand freedom which creates a lot of social problems ranging from binge drinking, drug abuse, antisocial behaviour, problems with employment etc...

We should recognised that being too spoilt and having freedom without discipline will cause a lot of harm to us. Our generation, including me need to learn responsibility, discipline and hardwork.

In addition to a less related topic, are we really free? Free from our bad untamed nature?

  1. That is why we have government, but if government takes away our freedoms then it is also dangerous. It's a very delicate balance.

  2. It's indeed a delicate balance. Approach from the government will be different from the approach of a family or individual etc... This way of thinking is more effective with individual or family.

  4. Hi Mayuri, sorry I am not so sure what you mean my unconditional freedom from parental neglect?

Parental neglect are usually problematic as lack of emotional support usually leads to unstable up bringing. However we are never truly free, as things may not always goes according to our wish.
