As mentioned before from my previous blog, priority and selectivity are elements of success.
In many times, even though there are many good points, too many points will lead to scatterness and less effective specialised performance. For example, if there are too many goals, it is less likely to achieve them successfully as specialised effort are scattered. If there are too many courses to study in, there won't be any advancement in a specific course. If there are too many moves in martial art to learn, one won't master any effectively. What is the point of learning thousands of moves if you won't be able to master any of them? The mind work best if few goals or task are set. So as the ancient quote goes:
"The man who chases two rabbits catches neither" ~ Confucious
So for success, I would advise to organise what is the "main" important points to focus on, and be aware of the minor points that has less priority.
It is the same with making speech, if you 100 points, the listener would be loss and not much gained. But if there are a few points made and emphasized, it is more likely to get that point across successfully.
